East Sussex Therapeutic Approach
The East Sussex Therapeutic Approach (ESTA) is a philosophy. This aims to provide the foundation of principles upon which inclusive practice is based. It focuses on how to support all children and young people. It has a particular focus on:
- Emotional wellbeing and mental health
- Developing an understanding of how to respond to those that communicate through specific behaviours
This approach is a school led, embedded ethos. It is characterised by an inclusive culture, based on training and information that is underpinned by best practice, policy, and plans.
Therapeutic Approach training
Training on the East Sussex Therapeutic Approach is available to all settings. The training will provide a greater understanding and knowledge of the approach. Attendees will be trained to introduce and embed therapeutic principles within their setting.
