Vision and key plans
- Excellence for All sets out our shared vision for education up to 2030.
- Our 2022-25 SEND Strategy identifies our high-level priorities to support children and young people with SEND, and their families.
- Our East Sussex Attendance Delivery Plan 2024-25 provides education settings with the tools to facilitate improving attendance.
- Our School Improvement Procedures document set out actions for all partners to help improve East Sussex schools and outcomes.
Communications, resources and support
- The Virtual School Bag (VSB) newsletter is sent to school leaders every week. This is our key communication method with schools.
- Czone is our website for information and resources for schools and settings in East Sussex.
- Our Education Division ‘Guide to our School Led System’ booklet introduces the Division’s managers and teams, and our school partnership structures.
- Our Education Services Directory lists our service offer and how to make contact or make a referral.
- Services to Schools is the Council’s online portal where schools can view and purchase all the Council’s traded services.
- In East Sussex, every school is part of a local grouping. These are Area Groups for secondary, and Education Improvement Partnerships for primary. These partnerships play a critical role in bringing schools together and driving improvement for all schools and all pupils. Pages 22 - 27 in the “Guide to our School Led System’ booklet sets out which group schools are in.
- Our Headteacher Induction Programme provides initial support and guidance to enable new leaders to make an effective start in their new role in East Sussex. We encourage all Headteachers new to East Sussex to attend. You can sign up here.
