Eating difficulties

Information about supporting young people with eating difficulties and access to a toolkit.

Eating difficulties and disorders can take many different forms. These can involve:

  • eating too much
  • eating too little
  • having strict rules around food
  • putting limitations on the types of foods you eat
  • struggling to eat enough
  • bingeing
  • worries about weight or body shape
  • eating habits or behaviours that cause problems

NHS Sussex provide information and guidance on Eating difficulties, disordered eating and eating disorders. This includes a toolkit and guidance poster. We recommend using these resources in your school or setting.

The NHS also provide the webinar below which discusses the toolkit and guidance.
