East Sussex SEND Strategy – Breakfast Briefings

05 or 12 July, 8am-9am - free via Microsoft Teams

The East Sussex SEND Strategy was published in November 2022 and sets out our ambition and priorities for how we will work with partners to support children and young people with SEND, and their families, to achieve the best possible outcomes in life. The Strategy is multi-agency and partners, including the local authority, health, social care and schools and settings are all involved in supporting its delivery through an Implementation Plan. A SEND Strategy Governance Board monitors the delivery and the impact of the strategy.

Schools play an incredibly important role in meeting the needs of children with SEND on a daily basis, our Strategy includes actions that individual schools are taking alongside area wide system changes that together will improve provision and support.

Nathan Caine, Head of Education: SEN and Safeguarding and Jessica Stubbings, Head of Education: Participation and Planning are holding two breakfast briefings for schools to provide an update on delivery on the Strategy and to share more information on how we are working collaboratively with schools to meet the needs of children with SEND.
