The East Sussex Children’s Book Award promotes reading for pleasure to children at the upper age of primary school (9 – 11 years). It introduces children and adults to new or less established children’s authors, in order to encourage a ‘county wide conversation’ about books.
This is an excellent opportunity for children to engage with books and authors and to raise the profile of reading in your school.
The six newly published books chosen for the Book Award are particularly aimed at children in years 5 and 6.The East Sussex Children's Book Award is also accessible from our Children's Reading Area as well as our Virtual Classroom.
Take a look at our regular posts on our Library Facebook Pages.Remember,  the books are available to borrow or reserve from any of our East Sussex Libraries, as well as on our library website.
