LGBT History Month
1. What is LGBT History Month?
Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Trans (LGBT) History Month takes place every year in February in the UK.
Building on the success of Black History Month and Women’s History Month, its celebration provides schools with opportunities to highlight the importance of equality and focus on the experiences, contributions and achievements of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people, who have often had to spend their life denying their true identity.
