Therapy service for children and young people

East Sussex Children's Integrated Therapy Service (CITS) and East Sussex Children's Integrated Equipment Service (CIES) are provided by Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust and are available to children and young people aged 0-19 years with significant developmental difficulties who live in East Sussex.

CITS brings together therapists from the NHS and East Sussex County Council, providing:

  • speech and language therapy
  • occupational therapy
  • physiotherapy.

Equipment, minor adaptations and orthotics

We also provide equipment on loan to children and young people with disabilities living in the county (aged 0 to 19 years) to help them with tasks they would otherwise be unable to do, both at home and at school. CIES provides equipment, minor adaptations and orthotics, and organises equipment collection, repairs and maintenance. Please contact Locality 2 for details.

Who should be referred?

  • cerebral palsy or other neuromuscular conditions

  • speech, language and communication needs
  • sensory processing difficulties
  • coordination and motor difficulties.

Who can refer?

Parents, carers, schools and any professional who has a concern about a child.

How do you refer?

Please complete the referral form below and return it to the address provided on the form.

We will also accept referrals using a common assessment form (CAF). Find out more about the Common Assessment Framework.
