DfE Guidance on temporary changes: attendance recording for educational settings whilst closed due to the coronavirus
We have put together key information and resources for schools to help maintain provision during the COVID-19 situation.
Teaching schools are good or outstanding schools that play an important role in a school-led system. They work with partners to provide high-quality training and support for school improvement in their local area.
Teaching schools have three key roles:
- Co-ordinating and delivering high-quality, school-based initial teacher training (ITT)
- Providing professional development for teachers and leaders at all stages of their career (CPLD).
- Improving outcomes for pupils by supporting other schools, particularly those most in need (school to school support)
Teaching schools oversee the deployment of system leaders who provide support to school leaders (NLE) and governors (NLG). Follow the link to GOV.UK to find out more about system leaders and how to work with a teaching school or contact the East Sussex Standards and Learning Effectiveness Service.
