Primary and Secondary Boards
New resource! The LGBTQ+ Support page links to help and advice for young people, parents and schools.
The Primary Board is the county-wide strategic body which sets the overall vision and priorities for improvement within the primary system and links to the Secondary Board. The Board serves all East Sussex Early Years providers and primaries including local authority schools, stand-alone academies and schools within multi-academy trusts. The Board holds an overview of the quality of education provided by schools and holds the LA, EIPs and ESLCN to account for the impact of their support to schools.
Further information about the work and membership of the Primary Board can be found on the Primary Board website.
The Secondary Board is the county-wide strategic body which sets the overall vision and priorities for improvement within the secondary system and links to the Primary Board. It serves all secondary schools and Post-16 providers in East Sussex, whether they are local authority schools, stand-alone academies or members of a multi-academy trust.
Secondary schools are organised within three area groups.
