Child protection training

A variety of training on safeguarding children is available for all professionals in East Sussex working with children or families.

E-learning programmes

Before attending any LSCB training course, participants must attend a Basic Signs and Indicators Child Protection course provided/commissioned by their own organisation or have accessed the Safeguarding Children online e-learning training course.

To complete this course go to the e-learning section on the East Sussex Learning Portal, enter the Children’s Workforce channel and click Safeguarding. The Domestic Abuse eLearning is also now on the East Sussex Learning Portal and not Kwango. There is a huge variety of courses on the East Sussex Learning Portal too.

Safer recruitment e-learning course

This course is provided by EduCare.  It will take you through the whole process of safer recruitment, from planning prior to recruitment to maintaining vigilance once the new recruit is a member of your organisation.

The course costs £27.50 per person paid directly to the training provider.

To access the course, use this link www.educare.co.uk/programmes/safer-recruitment

Please note: the e-learning programmes do not replace any statutory training you may have to complete.
