Early Help services

Latest:

Resources to support Early Help practice are now available on Single Source on the ESCC intranet - look for the 'Early Help resources' link.

Targeted Early Help, offered by Family Keyworkers in East Sussex is an approach to improving outcomes for families with multiple and complex problems. Through it we aim to provide earlier, coordinated and more effective support to whole families whilst reducing the long-term costs to local services. Family Keyworkers work in partnership with the family for an extended period of time to identify strengths and issues, agree priorities for change, and provide support and challenge.

Referrals to Early Help services

If you are  worried about a child or young person you're supporting and who you think might be at risk of harm or in danger, please see our Single Point of Advice (SPOA) page.

Referrals for a targeted Early Help service should be for families whose needs have been assessed at level 3 of the Continuum of Need .

You should look at the Children Index first to find out if there is already a plan of support in place.
