DfE Guidance on temporary changes: attendance recording for educational settings whilst closed due to the coronavirus
We have put together key information and resources for schools to help maintain provision during the COVID-19 situation.
Access key information and resources to support East Sussex schools during the COVID-19 situation, including any SEND-specific information available - Including updated (28 May) DfE guidance about recording of attendance.
Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans, sometimes called a statutory plan, is a legal document which sets out:
- the child/young person's needs
- the outcomes for that child/young person
- the provision needed to meet their needs/outcomes
- the most appropriate educational placement
EHC plans cover the age range 0-25.
The EHC pages of the Local Offer gives information for families about requesting an EHC Needs Assessment and annual reviews of EHC plans.
The majority of children and young people do not require a statutory plan in order to be supported in their educational setting.
